Dessert has to be the best part of any meal! I’m not one of those people who eat dessert first, I like to end my meal with the best possible taste last….the sweet! Dessert with fresh fruits helps to make me feel less guilty about what I’m eating, that’s why this recipe for Strawberry Blueberry Mini Trifles is a win in my book!
What’s not to like? Fresh fruit? Good. Cake? Good. Whipped cream? Gooooood! (And if you are a lover of Friends, you caught the reference!)
Ingredients
- 1 lb Strawberries
- 6 oz Blueberries
- 8 oz Pound Cake
- 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
Preparations
- Cut pound cake into slices.
- Find a glass about the size of your mini trifle glass and cut 4 circles and insert in bottom of trifle glasses. (I found these little Mini Trifle Footed Bowls
)
- Wash, trim, and slice strawberries (reserve 4 strawberries for tops).
- Wash blueberries.
- Whip the cream and powdered sugar until peaks form.
- Place a layer of strawberry slices on top of each.
- Top strawberries with whipped cream and level it off.
- Gently place a ring of blueberries around glass.
- Place a strawberry in each center and serve.

This is a really easy dessert that you can whip up for a last minute dinner party or if you just want something sweet to end your nightly meal! Your kids can also help since they have smaller hands that can get in the glasses!
ENJOY!
